I am the admin of a phpBB forum (& website) running since many years on the ibiblio host. Name and domain name is Celestialmatters.org. {forum, website} are located at /public/vhost/c/cm/{forum, html}.
Since this morning, I cannot login to the forum anymore due to (initially)
"General Error - Could not get style data"
The phpBB staff recommended to remove all files inside the forum's cache directory, except .htaccess and index.htm. This has solved the issue for other admins affected in the past by the same error above. In my case, I did the same cache cleaning, but now keep getting (persistently):
Fatal: Not able to open ./cache/data_global.php
when trying to login to the site. According to the phpBB guys, this data_global.php file should have been recreated automatically in the cache after a restart of the box. The underlying persistent problem seems to be that I cannot write a single byte in the cache or outside of it despite complete read/write/exec (= 777) permissions and ownership of the cache directory and files therein.
If I attempt to write anything e.g. within the cache directory ('touch test' , for example) I get im mediately
"No space left on device"
This matches the output of the 'df' command relevant to the ibiblio partition with mount point /public/vhost
1.2T 1.2T 0 100% /public/vhost
indicating 0% Available and 100% Used!
Hence some event must have taken place that blocks the entire space on the partition where our CelestialMatters site is located.
Can anyone help me here?
Thanks a lot in advance...

We have a ticket open to the storage provider. Please note that the university is closed today, and only a skeleton crew of "essential staff" are working today (supposedly I am not working), so I cannot promise a quick resolution. I'm reaching out using multiple methods to try to speed a resolution along.
The Celestialmatters forum is up and working again! It is now only 5 hours after my above first post asking for help. And that at an American semi-holiday!
Many thanks, cmpalmer, for your immediate action.

PS:
For now 'ssh t00fri@login.ibiblio.org' does not work yet (Network unreachable)
